The idea behind this album was conceived around the summer of 2019. While on vacation I took my laptop and made three long improvisation sessions with just my keyboard and laptop stock instruments.
Later in the summer I began researching IR technology and the concepts behind it.

Most of the quality of what we hear is determined by the environment in which the sound is produced, so it was logical to me to start thinking of space in a poetic way. The fact that you can “capture” a space with this technology was also highly fascinating, so it was the right direction for me.

The concept of cars was also a good continuation of what I had done with “Music in just intonation vol. 2” in which the main focus was on trains and the poetics behind them: first trains, now cars!
The space inside your car is highly personal and the time you spend in it is somewhat more intimate than what you get when riding a train.

Creative use of space with the use of IR technology, smaller and more intimate music and finding poetry in cars: these were the main challenges I wanted to overcome with this album.
